Instead of installing a deck or balcony on top of a roof covering, this system functions as both a roof or balcony waterproof membrane and as the walking and entertaining surface of a roof deck or balcony. We will discuss how to check for suitable base conditions and for limitations regarding installation and use, address how to spot marginal work, installation defects and materials damage, review methods of repair, and more.
