The Maryland Association of Home Inspectors (MAHI) is dedicated to promoting excellence and professionalism in Maryland’s home inspection field.

We strive to:

protect consumers by supporting an informative and educational home inspection process
help consumers locate home inspectors who are reputable, licensed and insured, and consistent in adhering to approved home inspection Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
support local legislators in protecting consumers from fraudulent, misleading or deceptive practice while ensuring a fair and competitive business environment.

Did you know? The Annotated Code of Md., §16-703.1 states "...Except as otherwise provided in this title, a person may not provide, attempt to provide, or offer to provide home inspection services in this State unless licensed as a home inspector by the Commission."
